March 25-April 23, 2021
Now in its forty-third year, the annual Members' Show and Sale at the Lighthouse ArtCenter's gallery provides visual evidence of a year spent in COVID isolation. Whether using paper and canvas, clay or glass, sterling silver or colorful yarns, we found ways to transform our hours, creating art from isolation. While some continued to take our classes through interactive online platforms, others worked alone with the news running as perpetual white noise in the background. We waited. We all waited. We waited for the numbers to improve, the presidential election to be decided, the vaccine to become available, and we made art. Finally, when our School of Art was able to offer limited in-person classes, many came back to work in our open studio settings. Through tragedies and fear, boredom and seclusion, we are emerging. Art continues to provide a vehicle for expressing emotion, as evidenced by the two hundred pieces in this exhibition.
We hope you'll take the time to enjoy the work by visiting our newly remodeled gallery.
All of the work on exhibition is also represented in this online catalog.

If you find pieces you would like to add to your collection, I would be glad to help. I can be reached at (561) 746-3101.
