Allyson Daley is a textile and fiber artist who likes to create beautiful things. She specializes in sewing, quilting, fabric manipulation, and embellishment, and enjoys combining those techniques to create wearable art and mixed media works. For six years, she worked as creative assistant to artist Mary Fisher. She is the former Textile and Fiber Department Coordinator at The Armory Art Center and Artist in Residence at Bak Middle School of the Arts in the Theater Department, both in West Palm Beach. She has been teaching art classes in and around South Florida, including textile and fiber classes at The Armory, and paper and mixed media classes at Jaffe Book Center. A decade ago, she opened the first paper arts studio in Flagstaff, Arizona, called Allyson’s Art, featuring hands-on classes taught by Allyson and other artists. The studio also included a gallery, which featured the art of local artists. In her leisure time, Allyson enjoys loom weaving, needle arts, jewelry making, gardening, and reading.
