Bio:
Camille graduated from University of South Carolina with her B.A. She studied at FAU with Yvonne Porcella in pieced clothing, Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts with Marna Brauner in surface design, Appalachian School of Art, University of Tennessee with Brent Cole, and earned a teacher certification from Palm Beach State College in Fine Art.
Camille Perrin has been a multi-media artist and fine craft instructor for many years. Trained in jewelry arts, design, floral arts, textiles arts, and kiln formed glass, teaching has been the high point in her career. She was the Director of the Glass Department at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Fl. While teaching, she inspired non artists (both kids & adults) to recognize their artistic abilities in a fun, exciting environment. Currently, Camille is the Manager of the Fused Glass Department at Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts located in Lake Worth, FL.
As an avid textile artist, she also teaches sewing techniques, collage quilting, and Improvisational Quilting. The design and creation of “memory quilts” is a particularly satisfying endeavor. In addition to instructing, Camille’s solo show exhibiting textile collage and surface design was shown at the Eissey Campus while her glass work has been acquired by both private glass art collectors and corporate collections.
