Carin Wagner
Bio:
Carin Wagner works predominately in oil on canvas, with a message of environmental protection at its core. Her work is highly realistic, using transparent layers to build depth. Carin Wagner graduated with a degree in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, winning their Angelo DiVincenzo Life Drawing award of a full-term scholarship twice. Selected solo exhibitions include “Reflect”, Carin Wagner at the Cornell Museum of Art (2017), Delray Beach Florida, “A Celebration of Nature” at Armand Bolling Fine Art in Jupiter, Florida(2017), and” Carin Wagner” at The MAE Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida(2016).
Wagner’s awards include: South Florida Cultural Consortium grantee 2022, Artist Innovation Fellowship from The Cultural Council for Palm Beach, 2022, two time winner of the Peoples’ Choice from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach Biennale (2013, 2015), Art Renewal Center, Finalist Landscape Category (2020) and (2021).
Wagner has been an invited speaker at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, The Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Cornell Museum in Delray Beach and The Cultural Council for the Palm Beaches. Wagner has taught private classes at her studio for over ten years. When her children were small, she taught after school art classes, and as they grew older, so did her students, including lessons after school at Dreyfoos School of the Arts,for a charity, lessons at the Palm Beach County library, and currently at Easel Art, in Lake Park, FL.
