Daniel is a local Jupiter artist specializing in graphite realism. Without any previous formal instruction, he is a self-taught artist who has refined his technique from years of practice. His commissioned pieces generally consist of either people (Family Portraits) or animals (Pets/Wildlife), as that is his preferred subject matter. To create his pieces, Daniel will select a hyper-realistic photo, and create a replica of that photo of the exact same proportion onto paper by measuring the reference photo and drawing space to ensure they coincide proportionally. Next, he creates a
very light yet detailed outline of the drawing, ensuring the proportions of the drawing match the photo. Last but not least, he begins shading from the left to the right side of the drawing, working through the piece in a straight line, much like a printer would, until the piece is complete.
