Dennis Del Mauro
Bio:
Dennis Del Mauro is a native of Newark, NJ, and a graduate of Fairfield University. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944 where he spent the next 27 years in the USMC, retiring as a Colonel in 1993. His interest in decoy carving started while stationed in Norfolk, VA. Dennis learned the traditional design, construction, and hand tools to carve working decoys, using techniques that remain largely unchanged for more than two centuries. Dennis’ work shows strong traditional influence fused with contemporary line and form.
