John Guernsey

Originally from southern California, John Guernsey moved to Georgia in 1993 and began a full time art career in 2006. Developing his drawing skills in college courses and workshop study, he now concentrates primarily on landscape and cityscapes in oil, although he has recently been painting in acrylics and gouache mediums as well.  Most of his work is ‘en plein air’  and his studio work also reflects that same impressionistic style. Mr. Guernsey maintains a busy schedule of workshops and regularly participates in nationally ranked plein air festivals. He has been honored to teach five different times at the Plein Air South
