Susan was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended The Maryland Institute College of Art. Her passion for monumental sculpture was recognized by Alberto Sparapani, (sculptor of Leonardo for the town of Vinci and the monument to the marble workers of Carrara, among his many fine works) who invited her to Carrara, Italy, to be her mentor. Susan is best known for the sixteen-foot-tall sculpture, ‘Babe’s Dream,” the monument to Babe Ruth in front of Oriole Park at Camden Yards Stadium in Baltimore.
Her work can be found in private and museum collections as well as many public spaces.
