Bio:

Curatorial Assistant

Born in East Ridge, Tennessee, and raised in West Palm Beach, Thomas Adkisson has always had an interest in art. Skateboarding has also been held close to his heart after practicing the unique sport for more than an entire decade. Through this, an appreciation of photography, film, and editorial arts has been born. Being sponsored by different companies has really allowed Thomas to indulge in these arts. It taught him the meaning of community, perseverance, and open-mindedness amongst other wonderful life lessons. He was very pleased to find out that the people at LAC also shared these same values. Since being at LAC he found a new passion for wheel-thrown pottery. Within his first year at LAC, he would later join the committee for the Lundin Kudo Empty Bowls project, raising awareness by being featured in the newspaper & a live TV interview for WPTV. It would then prove to be a record-breaking event raising $12,100 in total for the Treasure Coast Food Bank. His current position at LAC is the Curatorial Assistant, helping Janeen Mason (Curator) set up & break-down exhibitions amongst other things such as building online catalogs for legendary artists.
