Discover the magic of transforming clay into pure silver! No prior jewelry-making experience is required, just your creativity and curiosity.  Students will learn step-by-step techniques for working with Art Clay Silver, creating at least two unique pieces of wearable art. Through guided demonstrations, Randi will walk students through the four major stages of working with silver clay:

Stage 1: Greenware (Wet Clay) – Explore tools, stamps, textures and molds while shaping your design. Learn how to incorporate a cubic zirconia gemstone and a dichroic glass cabochon for extra sparkle.

Stage 2: Refining – Discover how to use files and sandpapers to refine your piece for a professional Jook.

Stage 3: Firing -Learn about the different firing methods that transform the clay into silver.

Stage 4: Finishing – Master polishing and patina techniques to highlight details and give your jewelry a beautiful, finished glow.

By the end of this course, students will not only leave with their own handcrafted silver jewelry but also the foundations to continue exploring this versatile and rewarding art form.

Tuition includes 25grams of Art Clay Silver plus 10 grams of Syringe Clay
