Why would you work with ordinary manufacturers sheet glass when you can create your own part sheets to design a one of a kind decorative or functional piece of glass art. Students will learn about glass compatibility, firing schedules and how glass behaves in the kiln. Explore the many options and designs that can be achieved by using a wide variety of techniques and tools with frit, stringers and glass powders. Once the part sheets are fired they will then be deconstructed to be used for reconstruction of a truly one of a kind design to be fired again. Students will then learn how to prepare molds for the slumping of their final art piece.

Please wear closed- toed shoes, comfortable clothes and an apron if you like.

Materials and firing schedules are included with additional materials and firings schedules available for purchase. Email Carolyn with any questions at :Carolyn@lighthousearts.org
