Create a beautiful glass bowl with stacked circles. Students will learn how surface tension and heat can produce perfect circles of glass without cutting a single curve. Learn how to cut and mix a variety of transparent colored glass with clear for a diluted look that will allow light to pass through and brighten the overall appearance of your glass art. After creating several different sizes of glass circle pebbles, we will determine the weight of stacks, lay out a glass pattern in the kiln with them to fuse again. Learn firing temperatures for all and preparation of molds for slumping will be the final phase of this session. This technique produces a beautiful, scalloped edge bowl for decorative and / or functional use!

Materials and firing schedules are supplied for this project with Additional materials and firing schedules available for purchase.
