In this skill-building Drawing II class, students expand their drawing abilities through a series of focused observational exercises. Working with line, shape, and value, you’ll develop stronger visual accuracy while deepening your understanding of how to translate what you see onto the page. Throughout the class, you will learn to:
- Refine line quality through varied drawing techniques
- Understand and use positive and negative space
- Build value gradations to create depth and form
- Improve your ability to perceive proportions, shapes, edges, and spatial relationships
- Strengthen observational confidence for more expressive drawings
As the class progresses, you’ll move into portrait study and explore adding color with watercolor, integrating accuracy with artistic interpretation. This course is designed to sharpen your skills, strengthen your eye, and support your growth as a confident, expressive artist.
