This workshop is designed to explore the principals of color, value, and shading in the process of developing a fabric collage. This is a raw edge quilting piece, and no machine is necessary. An image (cat, duck, a skull, mushroom and several others) will be provided in grey tones that will then be interpreted in color, texture, and shapes. Students who have experience painting will find this to be a new, exciting way of developing wall art. Great fun, simple, and fabulous results! Colors are assembled as to a preferred pallet; shapes are cut and assembled to the foundation panel. A simple collage will be created first to establish the basics, moving towards a more complex composition.
