The workshop, taught by working sculptor Eduardo Gomez Rojas, will explore various techniques to create a “patina” on fired clay sculptures. This 2- day workshop is directed at students who have finished pieces in fired clay and would like help in putting a patina onto the piece to have finished work. This also includes students who may not be happy with a particular patina and would like to consider modifying it. The discussion will include technical as well as aesthetic reasons to select a specific patina technique as well as hands-on help to apply it. Students can bring as many pieces as they want but we suggest they inform the school how many they have at sign-up to ensure there are sufficient supplies.
