Students that have taken a beginning jewelry & metalsmithing class will enjoy learning new techniques in this course. Demonstrations will include a hollow construction using a press die of your own creation and anticlastic/synclastic hammer-forming methods to make earrings, rings, and/or a cuff. Finishing techniques using a variety of patinas such as Tiffany green, light green, vista green, as well as bright blues will be available. In the 8-week course, there will be additional hollow form techniques using templates and scoring. Please see the material list for supplies to bring to class.
