This course is a self-directed fused glass class. Students should have prior knowledge of the subject matter they would like to achieve. Glass cutting skills required. Individual instruction on idea development, troubleshooting problems, and the final execution will be covered in class. Instructions on the glass grinders, saws, and other cold working equipment will be available. The instructor will have a new project in progress students can follow along with each session if you choose. Glass, any accessories and inclusions must be purchased from the studio for your projects Please contact Carolyn Austin with your ideas prior to the first day of class if you’d like to hit the ground running when you come in!. Glass and accessory items are ordered monthly. Firings cost .20 cents per square inch or kiln usage time depending on project size.

Closed-toed shoes are a requirement.
