This independent jewelry studio course is designed for experienced students who are ready to develop their own projects while working in a supportive studio environment. Participants must have foundational metalsmithing knowledge and be able to work independently.
Students are expected to have prior experience with:

Bezel settings

Prong settings
-
Cold connections and soldered connections
-
Finishing techniques (filing, sanding, polishing, surface refinement)

Drilling techniques and proper tool use

Jeweler’s saw frame operation

Acetylene torch use and safety
A studio monitor will be present to supervise the space, ensure safety compliance, and provide structured project prompts or creative challenges to support continued skill development. While instruction is not formal or step-by-step, guidance and technical feedback will be available as needed.
