Location:
373 Tequesta Drive - Studio C

This 2-day hands-on workshop teaches students the subtractive process of creating a 3D sculpture or 2D relief utilizing installation foam, a common construction material. Students will become familiar with the material, show examples of completed projects, and guidance will be provided to create their own sculptures. Towards the end of the two-day workshop, the student will have the option to continue to carve/build the sculpture or complete the sculpture through painting. No previous sculpture experience is required, but some drawing experience is recommended. Experience with any type of carving or 3-D clay sculpture is a plus but not required.

**Importance Notice** This is an introduction course only and is designed to open the door to new possibilities of the creative process in relation to sculpture. The goal is to have the students think differently about how to design and assemble a sculpture.
