Silver metal clay (also known as Precious Metal Clay) is a clay material created by mixing microscopic particles of pure silver in an organic matrix (binder) with water that can be shaped into infinite designs to create unique fine silver jewelry. Using molds and tools to create shapes and impressions, the clay is then fired at a high temperature to burn off the binder, revealing a finished fine silver product. During this workshop, we will use a variety of clay products using the appropriate tools to produce unique jewelry. If you have explored working with polymer clay and regular clay, you will be delighted to work with silver clay to create your original designs of jewelry. All materials are included with your tuition!
