In this workshop, we will use an ancient Korean gilding technique, Keum-boo, that applies thin sheets of gold (23.5k) to argentium for a beautiful finish. This is the perfect way to achieve using gold on your work without the expense of solid gold. Fused instead of soldered, students will make a pendant or pair of earrings. Students will learn how to apply Keum-boo on a flat using both a torch and flat top burner. Your tuition covers all gold materials and argentium to make it easy and affordable. All levels are welcome and will be successful! Those with more experience will be able to push the boundaries of their projects.
