Make a lasting impression in glass using kiln carving techniques to create a beautiful kiln carved serving dish. Students will learn how to cut and work with fiber papers to create designs that will then be “carved out” into an 8 x 8 piece of glass. Learn to prepare your mold for slumping and how glass is formed in the kiln. Please wear closed toed shoes, comfortable clothes and an apron. Mask will be provided when working with fiber papers. Materials and firing schedules are supplied for this project with additional materials and firing schedules available for purchase.
