Working from an image, the student will develop a sculpture of their favorite animal. This can be accomplished as a 3D sculpture or as a relief sculpture depending on the animal pose and the final destination of the sculpture. Students will study the basic anatomy of the animal with reference anatomy books provided by the instructor. There will also be a discussion on sculpture design as well as finishing and mounting. No previous sculpture experience required. This workshop includes 25lbs of low fire clay and one firing.
** A separate finishing workshop (not included) will be held at a later date after firing.**
