This fun and self-directed class will focus on handbuilding with an emphasis on surface decoration. The students will explore and develop their own visual narratives in clay. Each student will learn how to embellish the surface of their sculptures with colored slips, underglazes, sgraffito, brushwork, and painting. Some clay experience is preferred. Due to space limitations, all sculptures and works must not exceed 16in.
