Applique Collage uses lightweight fusible bonding material and all the brightly colored scraps you can find! Batiks are wonderful for this. Your design will be created entirely from shapes and colors cut, numbered and assembled in sequence -then secured to your backing material. The finished piece can be stitched, embellished with buttons, jewels or backing material. Whatever sparks your imagination. Students are encouraged to create their own designs or use designs supplied by the instructor. No machines, just your imagination, brightly colored scraps, a 20 x 20 piece of fabric.The LAC has plenty of scraps for everyone to use.
