Plein Air Workshop with Chris Kling

Days & Times:
April 12 and April 13 - 9am - 4pm
Intermediate – Advanced

Plein Air is the practice of painting outside in the “Open or Fresh Air”. We will be outside on location to view our subject in real-time. Chris will give daily demonstrations and then circulate them to give all students advice and encouragement as they endeavor to create their paintings. Among the topics that will be taught will be composition and design, values, color mixing, color temperature, and edges. Oil is preferred but water-mixable oils or acrylics are acceptable. Familiarity with your medium and basic drawing skills are recommended. In case of inclement weather, we will meet in the studio and work from photographs. There will be an 0ne hour lunch break at 12pm.
