This 2-day, this hands-on workshop takes advantage of the properties of earthenware clay as a medium. Because of its plasticity and its ability to take on fine detail, it is perfect for making what amounts to a beautiful bust of a horse. The workshop will cover the bone structure and the muscles of the horse head and study the surface anatomy. Size, mounting, and design of the sculpture will be covered in detail. The workshop will also discuss how to get the sculpture ready for firing. The workshop includes firing of the sculpture and a 25 lb bag of clay.
