Have you ever purchased a stone and just did not know how to capture it in a traditional way? In this workshop we will explore different ways to build bezels and think outside the box. Students are encouraged to bring in cabochon stones and discuss how to access different ways to set them. We will take into account the fragility of the stones as well as finding tools that are ‘safe’ to use around them. The instructor will create a simple stone pendant with a bail as an example. Students can do the same and leave with a finished piece. Advanced students can work on their own designs, discuss options with the instructor and finish the piece on their own time. This workshop is a safe place to learn or try new things. We will be discussing challenges and learning from each other. Sterling silver bezel wire and sheet come with your tuition.
