Students will learn the manual exposure and aperture settings to take successful sunrise photos. They will learn the use of neutral density filters that allow the long exposures required to create pleasing “blurring” of the ocean waves as they recede over the sand.  They will learn to focus manually using the “Live View” screen on newer cameras. They will learn to use polarizing filters and reverse graduated neutral density filters to even exposures taken toward the sun.  The lesson also includes an overview of Light Room editing techniques from exposure blending to perspective correction.
