In this workshop, students will create a pendant by fusing glass (enamel) on nonferrous metal using their own design. The chain for this pendant will be made using textile techniques in metal. The workshop will cover basic enameling techniques (sifting, bass taille, stencil, etc.) along with several textile techniques to make the chain (knitting, crocheting, and braiding). Additional techniques, such as embedding synthetic stones in enamel, will be covered based on student interest and available time.
