The objective of this workshop is to learn the nature of late afternoon and sunset “light effects” and then develop an efficient method to capture that effect in paint. The techniques for capturing The Golden Hour Light Effect will be demonstrated through the use of a PowerPoint presentation, live mini-demos, and then supervised individual painting sessions. For this workshop, you should bring all of your usual painting gear. A nocturne light is strongly recommended so that you can more easily see during our sunset painting session. I recommend preloading your palettes with paint to save time.
