Working with circles can be very challenging when it comes to glass. In this 4-week class students will learn how to carefully cut these curved shapes out of three different colors of glass. We will then cut them into various shapes and patterns. Using grinders and hand lap pads to smooth all the edges we will be able to reassemble them to create three beautiful round bowls. Students will then work with a rectangle shape to create a one-of-a-kind companion dish to compliment their bowls. Materials and firing schedules are supplied for this class. Additional materials and firing schedules are available for purchase. Please wear closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, and an apron.
