Painting and Digital Art Instructors
We are looking for enthusiastic instructors to join our Painting and Digital Art Departments here at LAC! Instructors must have the ability to create a positive learning environment for students.
Areas of Instruction:
Painting: Oil Painting, Impressionism, Abstract Painting
Digital Art: Procreate and Photography
Position Requirements:
Experience: Preferred 1-2 years prior teaching
Ages to teach: Youth ages 2-16 or adults
Availability: Monday-Saturdays
Class Times: Weekdays; (3hrs) 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm. Saturdays: (2hrs) 10am-12pm
Ceramic and Sculpture Instructors
We are looking for passionate instructors to join our Ceramic and Sculpture Departments! LAC is seeking to hire instructors that are communicative, reliable, and excel in classroom management.
Areas of Instruction:
Ceramic: Potter’s Wheel, Handbuilding, Mold Making
Sculpture: Clay Animal and Figurative sculpting, Mosaic
Position Requirements:
Experience: Preferred 1-2 years prior teaching
Ages to teach: Youth ages 6-12 years old or adults
Availability: Monday-Saturdays
Class Times: Weekdays; (3hrs) 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm, 6pm-9pm. Saturdays: (2hrs) 10am-12pm
Glass Instructors
We are looking for instructors to join our Glass Department! LAC is seeking to hire instructors that are engaged, dedicated, and have the ability to manage a classroom.
Areas of Instruction:
Glass: Flameworking, Mold Making, and Casting
Position Requirements:
Experience: Preferred 1-2 years prior teaching
Ages to teach: Adults
Availability: Monday-Saturdays
Class Times: Three hours, once a week and/or one workshop a month
Jewelry Instructors
We are looking for instructors to join our Jewelry Department! LAC is seeking to hire instructors that are engaged, dedicated, and have the ability to manage a classroom.
Areas of Instruction:
Jewelry/Metalsmithing
Position Requirements:
Experience: Proficient in demonstrating and teaching adult learners. Previous experience teaching in any capacity is required. Instructor must be able to fabricate jewelry using silver solder, set cabochon stones, apply various surface treatments (patinas & polishing compounds), comprehensive use of the jeweler’s saw, demonstrate use of proper filing & sanding, and understand all safety precautions that go with these processes. Beginning jewelry includes rings, pendants, and earrings (soldering on a post, creating French wires).
Ages to teach: Adult
Availability: Mondays-Saturdays
Class Times: Three hours, once a week starting in Nov. 2024
