3D Printing for Ceramic Applications with Ron Shaw

In this introduction to 3D printing, you will learn the workflow of creating custom objects for use specifically with ceramics. Students will learn to use TinkerCad to design their own unique ceramic tools such as cookie cutters, stamps, extruder dies, wire tools, and personalized and customized tool caddy. This class includes simple modeling, preparation, slicing, and exporting. No 3D printing background is required for this class.

All materials will be provided for this class. Our MakerSpace is equipped with twelve 3D printers and computers are provided.

Create your own digital masterpieces. This class will teach the basics of the app including layers, brushes, and color palette usage. This course requires the attendee to bring an iPad with the Procreate app downloaded and an Apple Pencil (preferred) or compatible stylus.

Explore the wilds and waterscapes around Jupiter Florida while supercharging your photography skills!

The group meets at 7:30 each Wednesday at Jupiter’s most scenic parks and natural Areas such as Riverbend Park, Pine Glades Natural Area, Coral Cove Beach Park, Dubois Park, Juno Pier, and Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. The session begins with 2 hours of in-the-field, hands-on learning in a small group of intermediate and advanced outdoor photographers. Advanced focusing, exposure, and compositional techniques are taught in one on one learning. The group then meets at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta To download images into their laptops loaded with Adobe Lightroom and are led through the latest techniques for enhancing their photos for publication and printing. Students “graduate” with a portfolio of fine art quality images including slow shuttered ocean waves, razor-sharp close-ups of herons, egrets, anhingas, and osprey, dramatic sunrise panoramas of water and sky in both color and black and white as well as artistically composed and edited macro photos of wildflowers, tropical botanicals, and shoreline.

Camera Walks: Photographing Jupiter Wildlife and Waterscapes with Bob Gibson

Join us for photography field trips led by instructor Bob Gibson. All levels are welcome from iPhones and beginning DSLR and Mirrorless to advanced fine art photographers.

The group will meet on Saturday mornings at 8 am for an easy camera walk into Jupiter’s most scenic parks and natural areas Including Riverbend Park, Pine Glades Natural Area, Coral Cove Beach Park, Dubois Park, Juno Pier, and Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Participants will “graduate” with a portfolio of creative wildlife and landscape photos of Egrets, Herons, Cypress Marsh Riverscapes, Ocean Sunrises, Nesting Owls, and Ospreys. Lighthouse, Inlet, Boating, and Pier Scenes, and more! Student assignments Include intimate animal close-up portraits as well as sweeping panoramas of ocean dunes, rocky shorelines, Oak Canopied marshes, and the upper Loxahatchee River
