Select Saturdays
Select Saturdays are unique hands-on experiences that provide students with the opportunity to try something new and exciting here at Lighthouse ArtCenter. Each event is geared for both the curious beginner and the experienced artist. These fun-filled, two hour evenings allow people to explore a variety of disciplines with talented instructors. Choose from glass, jewelry, ceramics, or painting. All tools and materials are included unless stated otherwise.

Learn the basics of Handuilding in this 2 hour ceramics crash course. Each student will create a unique Face Jug or Vase from just a slab of clay! By carving, sculpting, attaching and smoothing, these comical heads will come to life. No prior experience necessary and all tools and materials are provided.

This workshop is accessible for levels from beginner to intermediate and is perfect for those seeking personal instruction. Learn how to paint a watercolor home portrait including the sky and landscape. Instructor will demonstrate layering colors and assist each student in the painting process from start to finish.
