This 2-day workshop provides a solid foundation in drawing for the absolute beginner. With pencil, charcoal and conté, participants learn about line, value, composition, perspective and gestural sketching. Through fun observational exercises, participants will work on hand-eye coordination improving drawing skills. Subject matter will include still life, plant life, landscapes/seascapes, faces, architecture and perhaps some local birds, fish and shells. The workshop will include multiple demonstrations and discussion alternating with time for individual support and guidance.
