During this workshop participants will learn to look at the human figure objectively. We will model the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Each study will be built solid and hollowed out. After the anatomy studies are completed, a small scale, in the round portrait will be started. Reference photos of selected subject (side, front, and back) are required and are the responsibility of each participant. Photos should be clear, well-lit, and detailed. Ipads, laptops, or high-quality printed images are suggested. The instructor will offer an approach to portraiture that focuses on anatomical structure, mapping, proportion, and capturing the individuality of each subject.
