We are offering small, in-person 1-day and 2-day teen workshops for ages 12-16. Each day provides students with new, challenging, and advanced techniques in each medium.

-Workshops run from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm.
-Ages 12-16
-Students must bring their own lunch and snacks.

Great for beginners, this exciting 1-Day workshop for teens ages 14 and up will learn the basic techniques used in creating kiln fired functional and decorative glass! Learn how to cut and properly lay out a pattern in glass using a variety of tools, colored glass (frit and stringers), to create a plate, bowl, and pendant. How glass is made and how the kilns work the glass to fuse and slump it for endless forming possibilities. Please wear sneakers, comfortable clothes, and an apron.

In this 1-day workshop, teens will learn to develop jewelry using traditional fabrication methods. Demonstrations include how to size and form a sterling silver ring as well as for earrings. Shaping the metal with a mallet, creating texture, and wire working will be introduced to students in order to complete a ring and earrings. Teens enrolled in this course must be responsible and comfortable using a tools such as hammers and handling a lit acetylene torch under supervision.

Found Object Art Collage Teen Workshop

Recycle and reimagine old discarded junk into a one of a kind piece of art. Using found objects, old jewelry, odd bits of paper, fabric, feathers, and things you might find in a kitchen junk drawer, you will create a layered college or fantasy mask. No experience necessary, Just bring your imagination.
