Support VeteransArt at Lighthouse ArtCenter
By donating to VeteransArt, you’re helping to create meaningful opportunities for Veterans—our neighbors, friends, and family members—to connect, heal, and express themselves through art. In partnership with the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, VeteransArt offers free, weekly art classes focused on enhancing mental well-being, strengthening social bonds, and supporting community reintegration.
Since its launch in July 2022, VeteransArt has become an essential program for camaraderie and creative expression. Each three-hour class, led by a VA Creative Arts Therapist and a professional art instructor, introduces Veterans to various art forms—painting, sculpture, glasswork, jewelry-making—in small group settings that encourage trust, skill-building, and community connection. VeteransArt is evidence-based, with research underscoring the positive effects of community-centered art programs on Veterans’ mental health and resilience.
