TRIO

Trios, triples, triads, trilogies, triplets, trinities, triptychs. According to the “Rule of Three”, ideas, thoughts, events, characters, or sentences that are presented in threes are more interesting, effective, and memorable. Twenty-three fiber artists from three states — Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina — have combined to respond to the concept of “TRIO”.
All artists in “TRIO” are members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates, an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art quilt and the artists who create them. Founded in 1989 by a group of 50 artists, SAQA now has more than 4,000 artists, teachers, collectors, gallery owners, museum curators and corporate sponsors as members.

Description
Learn how to emboss velvet using wooden stamps to create beautiful textured patterns with a hot iron. Practice hand-stitching to add unique details, and discover the fascinating technique of dendritic printing to make striking natural designs. This workshop is suitable for any level of sewer, artist, or quilter.
If you have a hand-sewing needle and decorative thread that you prefer, please bring to class. You can also bring a preferred fabric for the background (the part that will be printed with dendritic printing).
This project can be made into a picture, the front of a card, incorporated into wearable art clothing, we can brainstorm ideas together!

Dive into fabric collage art using heat transfer techniques. Bring your own fabric or choose from our collection to design cards, pillows, framed pictures, or any creative project you desire. Express your personal style and take home one-of-a-kind art pieces!
Pattern and all other materials are provided unless you prefer to bring your own fabric for the collage session. Perfect for any level of sewer, artist, or quilter.
